Kondisi sesaat kualitas air di sekitar kampus PSDKU IPB di Kota Sukabumi
Abstrak
Penelitian bertujuan menginformasikan data awal kualitas air di sekitar kampus PSDKU IPB Sukabumi sebelum kampus tersebut dibangun. Air permukaan diwakili oleh bagian hulu, tengah dan hilir Sungai Cibeureum. Air sumur penduduk yang mewakili lokasi rencana pembangunan kampus PSDKU IPB Kota Sukabumi, yaitu Desa Babakan. Kualitas air permukaan yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu adalah BOD, COD, Nitrit, dan Total Fosfat, sedangkan pada kualitas air sumur, mangan (Mn) tidak memenuhi baku mutu. Indeks pencemaran mengindikasi bahwa kualitas air permukaan tercemar ringan. Terlampauinya baku mutu beberapa parameter kualitas air permukaan bisa dikaitkan dengan limbah domestik dan limpasan dari daerah pertanian. Untuk air sumur, tingginya nilai Mangan merupakan fenomena umum yang menggambarkan karakteristik alami air sumur.
